So many guitars and post Libertines impersonators, all looking for their five minutes of fame while poufing their hair into sky high configurations of hairspray. Yet sometimes ears are pricked towards something decisive and
skilled. A quirky set of songs with tub-thumping base lines, skuzzy guitars and punchy harmonies, all brought to you by four delicious men who are unafraid to enjoy their musical task.

Their recent transformation to a four-piece - Simon Thompson now frontman - has tightened up on what was already a majestic outfit. Simon's vocals, full of character, portray a voice of truth, meaning and grit; they now have an aura of finished-article about them.

Labels have been pressing the band for some time now but the boys want time to perfect their tunes without too much pressure. Now the tracks are finally shaping into zippy close-knit creations. "Dark Eyed Children" is a
deliberately aggressive punchy indie floor filler while "The Sequel" is an invitation to radio play. The chemistry both live and behind the scenes has helped to create some instant classics with the groovy crowd pleaser "You,
Me, Them, Us" and the unique sound of "An Honest Dilemma".

Simon attests to this: "I'm really pleased with what we have, and it means our live shows really up the ante. What are you doing if every second isn't completely driven, fantastic and lunatic?"

Indeed the band's explosive live show is selling the band far and wide. Fresh from supporting bands such as The Enemy, Bloc Party and One Night Only, as well as headlining some of the best venues around including 2 slots
at the infamous Koko in London, the sheer animal fun that exudes from the close knit gang ensures a dancing crowd everywhere they go. Volatile, tapped and ready to freak, Alvarez Kings are on a precipice that cannot fail to see them pummel the airwaves with passion and precision.

Alvarez Kings have created a name and sound for themselves. That sound will make its way to SXSW in Austin, Texas, showing festival attendees that the British have invaded once again. Catch them live at BD Rileys on Saturday 20th March at 20:00. Shortly after SXSW the bands debut single, "The Sequel", will be released on Monday 29th March available on all major download sites.

When veteran Radio One broadcaster Steve Lamacq chose eaststrikewest as his band to look out for in 2009, on the back of their debut EP Rosa, it is unclear if he could have predicted the ripples debut full length w o l v v e s would create. For many young bands, the weight of expectation would be an intimidating burden, but for eaststrikewest it has provided an almighty catalyst.

Showcasing eaststrikewest at the peak of their powers, w o l v v e s, is an engaging musical journey from a band displaying a song writing maturity beyond their years. Epic and cinematic in feel, w o l v v e s rewards the listener with its expansive soundscapes and ethereal melodies. With single in waiting Stumble, emblazoned with its soaring vocal lines and driving rhythms a firm favourite amongst the bands’ burgeoning fanbase, it is on tracks like The Architect where the band show their skill for genuinely inspiring musicianship, crafting instantly memorable songs.

Formed in Essex in late 2007 from former members of the critically acclaimed threemovements, eaststrikewest almost instantaneously courted major label interest. Ever the barometer of the UK underground music scene Thirty Days Of Night Records (Bring Me The Horizon, Gallows, Architects) negotiated tirelessly to secure the signature of one of the UK’s most exciting bands.

Fast forward to March 2010, following an overwhelming amount of industry support in both print and on the airwaves, the band are set to embark on an expansive 30 date tour around the United Kingdom in support of debut single ‘Stumble’ which streets on 1st March 2010.

"The sextet has organically developed into an outstanding and exciting Brit-rock band."
