From the bright lights of Blackpool to the recording studio and now the open road, singer-songwriter Karima Francis returns after a three-year break.
Blackpool based Karima is about to grab 2012 by the scruff of its neck with a massive 22-date spring tour, taking her much lauded live show to every major UK town or city, including London’s Hoxton Hall on May 17th.
Karima’s autobiographical lyrics are brought to life by her inimitable voice. She returns this summer with her eagerly anticipated second album ‘The Remedy’, the follow-up to 2009’s critically acclaimed debut ‘The Author’.
A stunning collection of rough-hewn gems, ‘The Remedy’ was produced by Flood (U2, PJ Harvey, Depeche Mode, Nick Cave), mixed by Tom Elmhirst (Adele, Amy Winehouse, Rufus Wainwright) and highlights include
'Glory Days', 'Stay', 'Remedy' and ‘Wherever I Go’.
Karima is joined on tour this spring by guitarist Simon Robbs and bassist Ben Adey
