Kissy Sell Out + Hallam Floorfillers + LJ Freeman
The final Shuffle of February enlists the talents of one of the brightest talents in modern dance music as Plug sees an overdue return visit from Kissy Sell Out. Radio One's hottest property, Kissy has been tagged everything from the next Erol Alkan to both the saviour and pariah of twenty first century rave, depending on who you believe and read. But one thing for sure, he's certainly grabbed your attention.
Undoubtedly the fastest rising name in dance right now, Kissy rise was as mercurial as it was swift. Clutching listeners by the balls, he would just as easily fire out a speed garage anthem from the mid nineties as he would a killer Justice track or an underground smash you still haven't heard of. There was the cheeky edits of Wham that stuck two fingers up at the po-faced chin strokers, or the meticulously calibrated dancefloor bombs that hinted at a method behind his inane madness. There are few that can match his ability to generate excitement and hysteria.
As ever support for Plug's guests comes in the shape of their reputable resident team. LJ Freeman brings the Teutonic jazz to support Kissy, The Hallam Floorfillers continue their assault on the weekend and Ollie Hayes and Tom Lee bring their gangster swing.
