Hotly-tipped producer Jakwob is poised to release 'Electrify', the first single from his upcoming debut album. The single is a stunning taster of the eclectic and genre-defying sound which has already won
Jakwob much acclaim.

Jakwob has received huge airplay support from the top tastemaker DJ's in the UK such as MistaJam, Zane Lowe, Annie Mac to name a few. Zane Lowe announced 'Electrify'as his hottest record in the world on 7th
December and with over 300 radio plays of his debut EP already under his belt , 2012 looks set to be the year Jakwob takes the airplay charts by storm.

'Electrify' perfectly captures his approach to redefining the experimental, dubstep, and electronic scenes, taking strands of each style and twisting them into a new sound that is very much his own.

Hailing from the Midlands, UK, Jakwob is currently putting the finishing touches to his debut album, and is very much in-demand as the producer of the moment having recently remixedLana Del Rey's
'Video Games'.

Jakwob first appeared on tastemaker radars via some major appreciation in the blog world for his bootleg of Ellie Goulding's 'Starry Eyed' (which has now had over 17 million hits on Youtube alone). It was championed by the likes ofAnnie Mac, MistaJam and Zane Lowe and has gained further support with his remixes of the likes of Kid Sister,Robyn, Empire Of The Sun, Temper Trap, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Penguin Prison, Audio Bullys, Jessie J and Diplo.

Mensah is one of the freshest emerging talents to have come out of 2010 with a wide variety & diversity to his sound. Having become involved in the Bristol music scene at an early age, there’s no surprise that he epitomises the great things associated with the city’s music – positive, progressive and different. It's for these
reasons why fellow Bristollian Jakes picked on him and released his 'Pulse 80's' track & then his Debut EP 'Untitled Future Funk' in early 2010.

Mensah’s music has, and is, receiving global support from some of the worlds leading DJs such as Skream, Joker, L-Vis 1990, Mala (Digital Mystikz), Loefah, Appleblim, Plastician, D-Bridge, Intra:mental, Redlight, Jakes, Addison Groove (Headhunter) and a whole heap more. With a large and ever-growing fan base it is clear to see very big things are on the cards for this talented young artist.

He has clocked up a string of releases on Jakes' H.E.N.C.H. label, plus remixes for artists like Example, Ghostface Killah, Skepta, Baby D, Drop The Lime, TC & for labels such as Universal, Island, Mad Decent, Punch Drunk, Ministry Of Sound, Trouble & Bass, Grizzly & Southern Fried.

There is no sign of letting up either, with releases planned on Mala's 'Deep Medi Muzik' label & Redlights 'Lobster Boy' imprint on the way, Plus a collaboration with Foreign Beggars forthcoming on Skizm's 'Never Say Die Records' Mensah is defiantly an artist to keep a watch on.
