Time to kick start another month, and this one isn’t going to know what’s hit it. The first weekend of March Madness kicks off with a proper mash-up. CASSETTE JAM & MIXHELL headline.

Cassette Jam were propelled onto the Global Dance scene after winning the Cream International Search for a DJ Comp in 2006. They destroyed the competition with their unique eight decks and two mixer’s techno show. They travelled across four continents, smashing the biggest festivals and clubs to bits; with their infamous and energetic no holds barred approach to DJing.

Due to their unrivalled success as DJ’s, they were asked to lay down remixes for the likes of Alex Gopher, Ladytron, The Whip & Does It Offend You Yeah? amongst others. These remixes received plaudits and support from some of the scenes biggest players such as Erol Alkan, Annie Mac & Eddy Temple Morris. The tracks were smashing dance floors and radio shows (including Radio 1, XFM, Etc) across Europe.

The Natural progression from their standout remixes was laying down original material: and the boys dually obliged! They were offered a three-album deal just off the strength of four-track demo alone! Work has already started on the Album; it promises to shove a rocket up the music scenes arse.

This September their Debut Single ‘Retox’ is released, and followed up by ‘Don’t Lose Control With Remixes from Headman, Arveene, The Loose Cannons & Hot Pink DeLorean”. The album is due in 2009.

One word of advice

Be prepared!!!....

Joing them will be another brand new name for your pleasure. This isn’t just your average DJ duo….. no where near in fact…. Mixhell are an electro DJ/remix duo from Brazil featuring long time Sepultura drummer Igor Cavalera and his wife, Laima Leyton. After quitting the Thrash Metal band in 2006 Igor and his wife have been taking the electro scene by storm, putting out awesome electro re-edits of tunes they love (their Iron Maiden edits are legendary) and also producing some fine original work too. Erol Alkan is one of their biggest fans, which says a lot, and they’re currently very much on the rise. Anyone at Leeds Festival in the dance tent this year would have caught their awesome 1hr set that nearly brought the roof down. This will be epic.

Completing the line up we have Knuckles, who Fake Blood describes as ‘My favourite producer right now and if I had a Label I would sign him.’ Enough said.

Over in the Live room it’s FLOORFILLERS bringing its Saturday night magic into the venue for more weekend escapism.

Christopher Bibby and Ollie Hayes(Hallam FM) need no introduction

At Shuffle they will be dropping the biggest dance anthems selected from the best years of your life, mashed up to the bangers of now: Dizzee meets Pendulum, Deadmau5 rubs up to David Guetta, whilst Calvin breaks down into Faithless, Darude and the Prodigy.

They have presented specialist radio shows across the airwaves, interviewed the stars and took on the finest of international dj's and now they come back to play every week in the best city in the land, Sheffield.
