Shuffle presents Diplo + Rusko + Drop The Lime + Mumdance
DOORS FOR THIS EVENT OPEN @ 21:30
Wrapping up May we have a major Bank Holiday Banger. Taking over Shuffle we have the awesome Mad Decent label with an incredibly rare DJ set from the mighty DIPLO headlining alongside RUSKO, DROP THE LIME and MUMDANCE.
This really is a special one. Diplo doesn’t visit the UK very often, so for Shuffle to be able to grab one of only four UK dates in 2010 (all squeezed into this Bank Holiday weekend) it’s nothing short of totally awesome. Double that up with the fact he’s bringing some of his hottest label mates with him and you’ve got what will be a guaranteed lock out at Plug.
Diplo is a name synonymous with pure quality. Whether it be through his production for MIA or Kano or his remixes for the likes of DJ Shadow and Tom Stephan he hits the nail on the head every time. Rocking everything from Baile Funk to dancehall, dubstep, breaks and house his DJ sets will leave your jaw on floor. Expect greatness.
Rusko is a one of the best dubstep DJ/producers around at the moment. Normally closely linked with Caspa, together they have formed an influential partnership within the dubstep community, not only as artists but as the founders of several influential labels such as Storming Productions, Dub Police and Sub Soldiers. Expect waves of super heavy bass and beats so sharp you’ll be in danger of cutting yourself.
Drop the Lime joins us from New York City. He’s a wicked producer and DJ who also runs the dance label Trouble and Bass. Known for tunes that are a little on the crazy side but always rocking the spot he has really started to grab DJs attention with remixes for Armand Van Helden, Little Boots and Moby amongst others.
Mumdance rounds of this rather impressive bill. Expect some proper skills from the boy as he’s known for live edits, loops and effects, as well as spanning almost every electronic genre in a set. Expect garage, bassline, grime, electro, fidget, niche, dubstep, funky, minimal, techno, house and jungle all effortlessly mixed together like a delicious musical smoothie. Very tasty indeed.
