Formed in 2002 5 boys from Hull, The Paddingtons, released 4 singles and the album, 'First Comes First' picked up a legion of devoted fans and toured the world making it their playground. Getting bored and disillusioned by the music scene they decided to give it all up for the much lauded 9-5 job, having realised they couldn't actually get one, The Paddingtons are back in 2008 but this time it's on their own terms! In keeping with the sound of his new album, "Slime & Reason," the show will built around a soundsystem feel, focussing more on electronics, dub and crashing beats than the live band sound he employed last time out. As he's shown recently at shows like the "iTunes London Live" festival, Rodney Smith has never enjoyed playing live more. The tour will be a whistle stop journey through fistfuls of classic Manuva tracks plus ample material from the new album.

Singer-songwriters are meant to trade in whimsical pleasures, in the soft strums of a guitar, in worlds so delicate and small they could shatter at a single touch. Martha Wainwright doesn't trade alongside them. Back with a second record that's both tender and tough, beautiful and brutal, and simmering with invention and confidence, Martha forgot to read the rulebook.

To describe the last 6 months for Team Waterpolo as a whirlwind would be an understatement; A category five hurricane would probably be closer to the truth. Right from the get-go The King Blues' music has defied convention. Unafraid to mix up dub bass lines, doo-wop a cappella songs, ska rhythms, Lonnie Donegan-styled skiffle, British folk and gritty poetry, theirs is a stripped-down, hot-wired one where ukuleles, acoustic guitars and melodicas feature heavily. It is punk music as it was intended - engaging, forward-thinking, all-encompassing.

YOU will have to go a long way to find a pair of songsmiths as brilliantly original as Peggy Sue and The Pirates. Otherwise known as best buddies Rosa "REX" Slade and KatyBeth "KLAW" Young, this duo perform with just one acoustic guitar between them, but their sounds are laid with beautiful harmonies, a selection of doo-be-doos and an armful of razor sharp songs which blur the boundaries of rockabilly, blues and alternative folk

The biggest night of the year is upon us as Plug celebrates New Years Eve in dramatic style. Last year saw Erol Alkan deliver an exclusive midnight set, barricading the clubbers with his inimitable elec-tech concoctions and indie swagger. 2008 sees Plug go that little bit further by bringing the man who reshaped dance music only a mere four years ago and is priming himself for similar theatrics in 2009, Mylo.
