Uprising

Under its flagship brand “Uprising”, Technotice Promotions are the leading hard dance organisation in the North of England and is soon to celebrate its 17th birthday
Uprising has its roots in the early “rave” scene and has evolved into an event catering primarily for the hardcore scene with a regular mix of, hardcore, hard dance, hard trance, and techno. The event has been based in Sheffield for most of its almost 17 year history with an occasional change of venue back in its early years and currently runs on a monthly basis
The Uprising calendar is a mix of regular club nights, themed and all night events. It holds five major events each year, seven club nights and has two flagship events, the birthday party in February and the Halloween Ball in October. Uprising also runs an annual charity event in January (2011 saw the event raise another £3k for its nominated charities, The British Heart Foundation and Sheffield Children’s Hospital) and has raised around £30,000 for its nominated charities over the years.
In addition to its own events Uprising also work with a number of other national and regional promoters on other events such as the SlamminVinyl (Hardcore Weekender and Sanctuary Outdoor) HTID and Ravers Reunited to name but a few.
OneVision is Uprising’s brand dedicated more towards genres such as hard trance, hardstyle and techno. Historically, Uprising has played a mixture of musical genres in its main arena however, with the popularity of some alternative genres increasing, and with a demand for these genres at its events, OneVision was born to cater for that demand. Since its inception it has evolved into a brand that has a wide following of its own.
