Guestlist Charity Donations

At Plug we believe in spreading the Plug love in lots of ways.

This includes operating a free guestlist to be able to reward and say thank you for good people doing good things, either for Plug or others.

If you are lucky enough to be in receipt of a free guestlist place at Plug, we consider this a privilege and not a right, and as such we respectfully request (as a condition of entry) that you donate £1 to the nominated charity.

With your help, Plug has donated over £20,000 since 2007

Charities that we have donated to in the past include:-

Breast Cancer Care, Spinal Uni, Sheffield Children's Hospital, Autistic Society, MIND, Alzheimers Society, DEC East African Appeal ,Roundabout a Local Youth Housing Charity, Peak District Mountain Rescue, Help the Heroes, Age Concern, 4SLC Stocksbridge Leisure, Yorkshire Air Ambulance

We have lots of thank you letters and certificates confirming our donations to the chosen charities on display in our Box Office - please feel free to pop in and have a look.

If you are aware of a good cause that might benefit from a Plug donation, please don't hesitate to get in touch.

Proof of age

Plug operates a Challenge 25 age verification policy. This is a mandatory condition of licensed premises. So, if you are lucky enough to look under 25 you will be asked to prove you are over 18 years of age to gain entry to Plug and when buying alcohol. If you are under 18 years of age you are committing an offence if you attempt to buy alcohol. If the ID that you present is suspected to be false or belonging to someone else, you will be refused entry and asked to hand over the ID and it will be passed to the Police.

It is an offence to use fake ID under the following legislation:

  • Identity Cards Act 2010 Section 6 (1)
  • Forgery and Counterfeiting Act 1981 – use of counterfeit ID
  • Fraud Act 2006 – Possession of Counterfeit ID

We accept the following forms of ID:-

I've lost something in the club - do you have a lost property department?

In the event of you losing an item at Plug, please email boxoffice@the-plug.com and include as much information as you can about the item, and your contact details, as this should hopefully speed the process along.

It can take a day or so for items to be retrieved, so if it can't be found immediately, it may still turn up. However, Plug cannot take any responsibility for items lost in the venue - if it is too valuable to lose, don't bring it to a club!

Items found in the club, or left in the cloakroom, will be kept for a period of 2 months. After this, they will be donated to charity. You have been warned!
